Zoot Sponsors $2,000 Teacher Grants

On Tuesday, April 30th, the Georgetown Education Foundation embarked on their annual collaborative teacher grant prize patrol. Zoot team members were there to help present a check to two of the grant recipients, Alan Cook and Lucy Charpentier of Georgetown High School.

Mr. Cook and Mrs. Charpentier were awarded a grant called Raspberry Pi Adventures. This grant will help to develop a team of managers, builders, programmers, and artists to design an arcade console for both instruction and entertainment. This hands on approach will hit all aspects of STEM learning.

Team Zoot was honored to take part in this exciting day and are proud of the educators who took the time to improve the learning opportunities for students of GISD.
